CEO, Retail Banking
David joined NatWest Group as CEO, Retail Banking in September 2020. He joined from Westpac Banking Corporation where he held the role of Chief Executive of the Consumer Division, with responsibility for distribution, digital, marketing, banking and insurance products and services across the Westpac, St.George, BankSA, Bank of Melbourne, BT, and RAMS brands.
Before joining NatWest, David worked for Westpac Group for eight years, and his previous roles within the group include CEO of the Commercial and Business Bank and Chief Product and Digital Officer.
Prior to this he was Executive General Manager, Cards, Payments and Retail Strategy at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA).
He was also formerly Managing Director, Strategy, Marketing and Customer Segmentation at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) and before this Vice President for First Manhattan Consulting Group (FMCG) based in New York.
