Financial Foundations
NatWest Group’s Financial Foundations programme aims to help adults make the most of their money and take control of their financial future through free, in-person, impartial money guidance workshops.
Delivered by trained NatWest Group colleagues in workplaces and communities across the UK, the learning programme delivers practical in-person workshops covering topics including budgeting, managing debt, savings strategies and fraud protection.
NatWest Thrive
Combining over 30 years of our youth community programmes, NatWest Thrive aims to inspire and support young people to break through barriers and seize opportunities, empowering them to be fearless, ready, and unstoppable.
With content and resources that help them learn about money and build skills, self-belief and confidence, the programme helps young people to take action towards owning the future they want.

National Youth Agency partnership
Our partnership with National Youth Agency (NYA) helps take NatWest Thrive beyond the classroom.
Delivered through youth clubs in underserved communities across the UK, our partnership equips youth workers and youth clubs with the tools, training and support they need to help young people build financial confidence.
Our support to NYA through apprenticeship levy funding is also helping to bring more qualified youth workers into the sector.
Announcing our new investment workshop for adults
We’ve expanded our Financial Foundations programme to include a new investment-focused workshop – aimed at helping more people understand the basics of investing and build financial confidence.
Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Lucy Rigby KC MP, said: “Financial literacy matters to the health of people’s finances, and to the health of our economy. I'm delighted to see NatWest Group committing to extend their financial education and literacy programme to give people access to new and improved financial skills.”
How our workshops are building financial confidence
CEO Paul Thwaite joined our customer Barcode Warehouse in Nottingham for the launch of our new investment-focused Financial Foundations workshop.

Financial Foundations: supporting customers where they live and work
We take our colleagues’ expertise into the places where customers live and work with our Financial Foundations programme.
We recently supported West Granton Housing Cooperative with a workshop at their offices in Edinburgh through Royal Bank of Scotland, helping the organisation’s members and local community with money management and planning for the future.
NatWest Thrive: helping young people talk about money
We’re spreading the power of the NatWest Thrive programme through our Thrive Live events in communities across the UK.
Take a look at our recent Thrive Live event in Southampton, which brought together more a hundred Year 10 students at Cantell School for a high‑energy day focused on building money confidence, financial skills and self‑belief.
