NatWest Services (Switzerland) Ltd Management Committee

The Management Committee is a collegiate body under the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer.  It manages the business of NatWest Services (Switzerland) Ltd and is responsible for the company’s organisation. Furthermore, the Management Committee reviews and debates relevant items before consideration by the Board and is responsible for the implementation of the Board’s resolutions.

Lukas Fries joined NatWest Services (Switzerland) Ltd in December 2020 and is responsible for the area of Financial Planning & Investments for the Wealth CDIO division. Lukas already spent parts of his career with Coutts from 2010 until 2016 as department head for Application Management Credit and Risk. During his time away Lukas worked for Synpulse Management Consulting in the role of an Associate Partner and Managing Director, where he worked on banking transformation projects and was responsible for the build-up of new locations for consulting and software development in Austria and Slovakia. Lukas’ earlier career steps involved jobs at IBM and Accenture, where he gained experience as software engineer and technical consultant.

Deputy CEO of NatWest Services (Switzerland) Ltd

Martin Rettich is Head of Operations Hub Switzerland and Central Services which includes Risk & Control and Transaction Reporting within the Wealth CDIO division. In addition, he is also Deputy CEO of NatWest Services (Switzerland) Ltd. Prior to taking up his current role, he was Head Operations Switzerland & Wealth Hub at Coutts & Co Ltd, responsible for the provision of local and global operational services and custodial functions to various business units on Avaloq.

Before joining NatWest Group in 2011, Martin worked for 31 years at Credit Suisse and Credit Suisse First Boston where he held various executive roles domestically and globally in and around Operations, transactional wholesale banking and custody services.

Olaf van der Aar

Head Solution Delivery & Design, Wealth CDIO

Olaf van der Aar joined NatWest Services (Switzerland) Ltd in July 2010 and currently holds the position as Head Solution Delivery & Design for the Wealth CDIO division. Prior roles include Head of Application Management, project manager as part of the Wealth Management Platform Programme (WMPP) as well as managing the incorporation of NatWest Services in Switzerland in his previous role as Head of Business Management for Private Banking Services.

Olaf began his professional career with PwC Business Consulting in 2000 as a management consultant before moving to Clariden Leu as manager of various IT departments and projects. He holds an M.Sc. degree in Engineering from the University of Twente in the Netherlands.
