To help build the economy of the future we’re backing the people, businesses and partners who will power it.
Accelerating entrepreneurs
Through our free Accelerator community NatWest aims to support 50,000 entrepreneurs in 2026. The community helps founders launch and scale. Our university partnerships offer targetted support to spinouts and young entrepreneurs.
Backing ambitious growth
NatWest Venture Banking provides specialist expertise to the UK’s innovation economy businesses and the investors backing them - helping to turn ideas into scale, jobs and long‑term growth.
Supporting founders’ wealth
Our Private Banking and Wealth Management business supports founders at every stage, helping them manage, grow and protect their wealth with tailored investment management and financial planning.
Partnering with innovation
NatWest Group’s Open Innovation team aims to understand and translate what external change will mean for our customers and the bank, experimenting with new technologies, partnering with and strategically investing in innovative companies to develop better outcomes for our customers.
Unlocking the value of ideas
We’re helping innovative businesses leverage their intellectual property to fund their growth ambitions across the UK.
Aligning expertise across the UK
Our network of 1,000 relationship managers, Regional Boards and sector specialists, operate across the UK, offering deep expertise to help businesses at every stage of their journey.
Creating the conditions for innovation
Innovation scales more quickly when people and organisations are physically close – encouraging the flow of ideas, capital and vital collaboration. Innovation clusters bring together ambitious businesses, university expertise and investors in the same place, creating connected ecosystems where ideas scale faster.
We’re supporting innovation clusters to form and grow through our Accelerator hubs, venture banking teams and network of Regional Boards and relationship managers all working to help innovators easily access the networks, finance and expertise needed to grow.

NatWest Venture Banking
NatWest Venture Banking was created to meet growing demand from founders and investors for more sophisticated, joined‑up financial partners, supporting companies through every stage of growth.
It brings a combination of scale, strong regional relationships and long-term commitment. The proposition connects early-stage support with later phases of growth, bringing together specialist expertise, access to the wider ecosystem and long-standing customer relationships so we can be a consistent, trusted partner throughout a company’s journey.

A decade of accelerating entrepreneurs
Since 2015, the NatWest Accelerator has supported over 12,000 entrepreneurs from idea to scaleup. In 2026, we’re upping that ambition even more with a target to welcome 50,000 entrepreneurs to the community.
Our own research shows that nine out of 10 businesses who complete the NatWest Accelerator are still trading three years afterwards, against a control group of four out of 10*

* These control group businesses were used to ensure our results aligned with independent benchmarking and that the comparative methodology was robust. For the period 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026, our ambition is measured as the total number of registered Accelerator community accounts. This includes all individuals with an account that has not been deleted — spanning customers, non‑customers, colleagues and wider supporters. Building on a community of just over 12,000 members at the end of 2025, we aim to scale this to 50,000 members by the end of 2026.
