Almost 150 organisations applied for Inspiring Women in Enterprise grant funding. From these, 13 organisations have been awarded grants of up to £50,000 each. The winners, in alphabetical order, are:

RBS Inspiring Women in Enterprise is part of RBS Inspiring Enterprise. It seeks to inspire and enable 20,000 women to unlock their enterprise potential over the next three years.
About RBS Inspiring Enterprise
RBS Inspiring Enterprise launched in October 2012. It is an umbrella for all the activity across RBS that encourages and supports more people into enterprise. We are undertaking research, hosting workshops and creating a network of organisations and partners across the UK, so we can better understand and support the needs of those starting out in business.
As well as supporting the ambitions of our customers, we are focusing our efforts on three groups that, with more support, could play a stronger role in the entrepreneurial economy:
- Inspiring Youth Enterprise – supporting people aged 13 – 30 to explore enterprise and start up in business;
- Inspiring Women in Enterprise – enhancing the role of women in enterprise
- Inspiring Social Enterprise – funding and support for the social enterprise sector
Both Inspiring Youth and Inspiring Women have a 3-year grant funding pot of £1.5 million, to which organisations that support youth and women into enterprise can apply for. Through Inspiring Social Enterprise we provide access to Community Business Loans from our MicroFinance Fund.
The first round of Inspiring Youth Enterprise grant winners was announced in December, with 18 organisations out of almost 250 applications receiving funding worth close to £500,000.
