NatWest appoints agriculture manager and business development director

NatWest is pleased to announce the appointments of Jackie Mitchell as senior relationship manager with responsibility for agriculture and Val Dring as director, business development within its commercial banking division in Bishop's Stortford.

In their new roles both Jackie and Val will assume responsibility for providing a full range of banking services to a portfolio of business customers that turnover between £2m-25m.

Jackie is entering her 28th year with the bank. She has held a number of managerial positions within the bank's business banking division including specialising in the provision of banking services to the agricultural sector. From a family background in farming and market gardening, Jackie is looking to bring this experience to support the local agriculture market.

Val has also been with the bank for 28 years. For the last nine years Val has been involved in business development and now takes on responsibility for Bishop's Stortford to sit alongside her existing remit for Cambridge. In 2002, Val was awarded an MBE for her services to small businesses.

Speaking about the appointments, Mark Coppen, director, commercial banking for Bishop's Stortford said: "I am delighted to welcome both Jackie and Val to the team. They both add experience and important business knowledge to our team who are dedicated to supporting small businesses and their operations in and around Bishop's Stortford. We feel it is important to offer this level of specialised experience and capability locally, and both Jackie and Val will be working hard to establish themselves as key figures in the Bishop's Stortford business community."
