On announcing the appointment Steve Hughes, Co-Head of Asia Pacific Syndicate said "We are delighted to welcome Peter to the team. Hughes added "Peter will be responsible for continuing the momentum of our bond syndicate business and building RBS's market share of Australian Dollar fixed income issuance across the full range of issuers."
Peter has 20 years experience in global debt capital markets and an established record of delivering consistently solid results in all his previous roles. He brings significant expertise in Australian Dollar fixed income product deal origination and execution.
Prior to joining RBS, Peter was a Director in Australian Dollar Syndicate for RBC Capital Markets. In this role, Peter was responsible for Australian Dollar and New Zealand Dollar debt syndicate across Asia Pacific. Peter achieved significant new issue transactions and improved relevant league table positions for RBC Capital Markets.
Previously, Peter spent four years at TD Securities as Director, Head of Asia Debt Syndicate where he was responsible for building a successful new Australian Dollar primary business. In addition to executing in excess of 50 Kangaroo transactions over his four year tenure, Peter maintained a top two league table position for TD Securities.
During his 20-year career, Peter has also held various roles at ANZ Investment Bank, Investec and Gensec Bank.
Peter has a Master of Economics in Finance from Macquarie University, Sydney.
