Equally exciting, local rugby clubs from across the UK and Ireland are eagerly submitting their registrations for RugbyForce, the club facility improvement programme launched by RBS in 2009. The first week of open registration has seen more than 50 clubs commit to organising a fun-filled weekend of rugby and DIY this summer with the aim of a better place to play. 414 clubs registered in 2011 and we're hoping to help 500 this year.

RugbyForce is made possible through our long-standing partnership with the RBS 6 Nations. The Championship logo is our calling card as this partnership enables us to speak directly with the clubs. We provide advice and resources on how to plan their RugbyForce Weekend event. The clubs get help with budgeting, volunteer recruitment, local business engagement, media relations, project planning, and they all receive a banner and a supply of T-shirts for their volunteers. We even chip a voucher to help them feed their hungry helpers!

With each registration, the clubs tell us about the improvements they want to make and how this will benefit their community. From the hundreds of inspiring stories, we will select a handful to receive an enhanced support package to assist with more significant renovation. For these lucky few, we'll also bring along a rugby international to coach the kids and a TV crew to document their success. Always and exciting affair for young and old.

Now three years into the programme, we are proud to say that RugbyForce has helped to improve hundreds of local rugby clubs which are so often the lifeblood of their communities. In 2012 we will go a step further by delivering a new business advice to help assure these clubs continue to thrive as sustainable businesses, regardless of the economic climate.

So, as another exciting RBS 6 Nations Championship approaches, regardless of who lifts the trophy on 17 March, RugbyForce assures us that community rugby will come out a winner.

Register your team now with RugbyForce to gain all these benefits.
