RBS aims to reach 1 million young people with MoneySense programme by 2018
Financial education programme MoneySense aims to increase reach through staff volunteering over the next three years.

In October RBS launched their new and improved MoneySense programme. The financial education programme has helped millions of young people learn about money in the UK and Ireland for over 21 years.
The improved programme aims to reach 1 million young people, have 60% of secondary schools registered and 50% primary schools registered by 2018. This will be partly achieved by creating a network of over 2000 staff volunteers who will deliver financial education lessons.
MoneySense is free, impartial and supports the curriculum. The programme makes learning how to manage money real by using young people's life experiences, called ‘money moments'. These money moments could be events such as getting their first mobile phone contract or opening their first bank account.
The content includes interactive games, quizzes and videos tailored to the different stages of a young person's financial journey. The revamped MoneySense website now includes content for primary schools.
