RBS appoints Tim Skeet as Managing Director in Financial Institutions DCM

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) plc today announced the appointment of Tim Skeet as a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group within Debt Capital Markets.

He will focus on enhancing the RBS financial institutions footprint, particularly in the strategically important Nordic region.

Since leaving Bank of America Merrill Lynch in October last year, where he had worked for four years as Head of Covered Bond origination, Mr Skeet was a senior advisor to the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA), where he now acts as a board member. He also worked as a consultant to Amias Berman LLP. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 2006, Mr Skeet was Head of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Northern Europe and Head of Covered Bonds at ABN Amro. He has had a series of senior appointments at various institutions in a career that started as a graduate trainee in the international banking division of Samuel Montagu in 1981.

Mr Skeet will report to Gordon Taylor, Head of Northern Europe Financial Institutions Origination, and will be based in London.
