Did you know that people care about good financial health more than good looks when looking for a partner? A study* of 2,000 British adults shows that this in indeed the case. We conducted a study to celebrate the roll-out of our free Know Your Credit Score service to non-customers, which makes up part of our commitments to help more people improve their financial wellness.

We’re aiming to help people improve their financial wellbeing and improve the financial compatibility of couples across the nation, by making our Know Your Credit Score tool available to non-customers for the first time.

The free tool, available via the NatWest/Royal Bank of Scotland/Ulster Bank app to customers and on the NatWest/Royal Bank of Scotland/Ulster Bank website for non-customers, offers a free credit check, plus information on how to improve your credit score.

Additionally, users of the tool (including non-customers) can access free financial information and support from our colleagues in-branch or online.

Information about Know Your Credit Score

For Non-bank

Know Your Credit Score is free to use and available for those aged 18 and over with an address in the UK, Isle of Man, or Channel Islands following a successful registration with TransUnion. All data is provided by TransUnion and you don’t need to be a NatWest customer

For Existing Customers

Credit score available once opted in through the app to customers aged 18+, with a UK address and is provided by TransUnion. App available to customers aged 11+ with a compatible device and a UK or international mobile number from specific countries.
