We’re joining the NET as a patron following our contribution to the Coronavirus Appeal last year; our customer and colleague appeal raised £10million for those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Alongside the NET’s other patrons which include Alcimi, Arco, BT, Co-op, Christopher Laing Foundation, DCMS, M&G plc, Sky, Sir Lloyd Dorfman and Tesco, we’ll now play an active role in shaping the NET’s future emergency response.
General The Lord Richard Dannatt, Chair of the National Emergencies Trust, said: “The NatWest Group has already been a fantastic partner to the NET, working as an extension of our team through the Coronavirus Appeal, and raising an incredible sum of money for those in need. I look forward to building on our relationship in their new capacity as a patron of the NET. The support of our patrons will be instrumental this year in shaping our future emergency response.”
Kirsty Britz, Director of Sustainable Banking, NatWest Group, said: "We are delighted to become a patron of NET. We are building a bank that is led by its Purpose, this means making a positive contribution to society; helping people, families and communities where we live and work. The work we are doing with NET embodies this. We supported NET’s Coronavirus Appeal last year, raising £10 million which helped to support over 10,000 grass roots charities and organisations. Now, as a patron, we are committed to supporting NET on an ongoing basis, and in their future emergency response."
