At the 2025 Insider Scotland Dealmakers Awards, the Royal Bank of Scotland won the category Bank/ Funder of the Year, in recognition of our breadth, innovation and solutions focused approach. This is the third year in a row that we have won in this category, showcasing the consistency of our position in the Scottish market and wide range of support across the business community.
The Awards, held in Glasgow, are a celebration of Scotland’s dealmaking community and recognise the top deals and dealmakers over the past year. In addition to winning Bank/ Funder of the year, two Royal Bank of Scotland colleagues were shortlisted in other categories. Ramin Mathieson was shortlisted in the category of Dealmaker of the Year and Gavin James was shortlisted in the Emerging Dealmaker of the Year.
In announcing the award win Insider Scotland, said “Royal Bank of Scotland have delivered an impressive £1.8bn of funding supporting 27 deals in the period. The judges recognised their breadth of transaction activity supporting entrepreneurs, private equity and dealmaking corporates as well as scoring highly on their innovative structuring approach and finding solutions to technical challenges.”
