Lombard, which is part of NatWest Group, has provided a $33.2 million financing facility to Polaris Autoliners. Part of the wider Polaris Group, the business provides automotive shipping and logistics services worldwide.
The deal will support the business as it continues to invest in growth and expand its fleet.
The structured facility refinances Polaris Star and Polaris Oslo, two modern, fuel-efficient Pure Car and Truck Carriers. The vessels transport finished vehicles, trucks, machinery and other cargo across established UK and European routes. They are primarily deployed on contracts supporting major car manufacturers including Ford Motor Company, transporting vehicles and components into Dagenham.
The transaction highlights Lombard's ability to provide specialist asset finance solutions to growing businesses operating in complex sectors, while supporting the commercial mid-market companies that play a vital role in driving growth across the UK – a key pillar of NatWest’s Growing Together campaign.
