Family-run Cars of Grimsby expands with new premises funded by £875k from NatWest

Cars of Grimsby Ltd, an award-winning, family-run vehicle repair business which services Grimsby, Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire and beyond, is set to expand its operations with the support of an £875,000 funding boost from NatWest.

Founded in 2012 and now operated by married couple Lisa and Jason Barker, Cars of Grimsby has continued a trajectory of growth over the last 13 years with a 14-strong team. The funding from NatWest will enable the company to move to a larger premises, providing the space needed to accommodate more customers and continue offering high standards of service.
 

The new premises will feature additional space to service a growing customer base and will support the company's capabilities to work with more top end manufacturers. The company is already manufacturer approved by automative brands such as Volkswagen, Skoda and Seat among others, but this latest strategic move seeks to branch out affiliations.
 

The new site will also allow for new training opportunities, with the aim of recruiting two new apprentices over the next 12 months. With an industry wide need keep pace with rapid technological advancements, Cars of Grimsby is looking to support the next generation of skilled automotive technicians.
 

Having grown up in the region, Directors, Jason and Lisa ensure that the business is heavily involved in the local community, including sponsoring the local football team and participating in food bank initiatives.
 

Sustainability is also key for Cars of Grimsby as the business has installed solar panels on their current premises and plans to add them to the new site. Other initiatives include making the switch to electric vehicles and installing a warm air recycling system to the current site.
