Motorhome Dealer Group (MDG), one of Dorset’s leading motorhome retailers, has completed a major banking switch to NatWest, to purchase and refurbish The Caravan Company site in Wimborne.
The new Wimborne site, purchased in July 2025 and now fully refurbished and stocked for the new season, provides Motorhome Dealer Group with its third location. This expansion supports their continued growth, creating new jobs locally.
This prominent site, on the main A31, has been a successful caravan sales centre with comprehensive camping and caravan accessory shop for more than three decades. MDG have been quick to expand the sales operation to include entry level motorhomes as well as quality assured pre-owned touring caravans. Recently they were appointed the areas only new Bailey Caravans dealer. Many of the staff were retained following the site acquisition and bring a wealth of knowledge with years of experience in the industry.
MDG is committed to sustainability, with solar panels and EV charging points installed at its Poole and Ringwood sites, and the Wimborne site achieving an EPC C rating. Aligning with NatWest’s focus on supporting enterprise and sustainable practices the business has embedded recycling practices and is working with NatWest to develop a robust carbon strategy, making use of tools like the Carbon Tracker.

With more than 42 staff and a stock across the sites of over 120 vehicles, Motorhome Dealer Group has grown from the partnership of Countrywide Motorhomes and Three Counties Motorhomes.
