  • Gensmile Limited secures new funding from NatWest to expand and transform its South West practices into centres of clinical excellence.
  • The investment will support Swindon-based  company’s ambition to become industry leader in digital dentistry
  • New funding set to bring cutting-edge technology to local communities and provide new training opportunities and apprenticeships for local dental professionals

Gensmile Limited, one the UK’s leading private dental care groups, has clinched fresh funding from NatWest to supercharge its development across the South West. With a new loan and credit facility agreed in March 2026, Gensmile is set to continue development of its practices as centres of clinical excellence - offering specialist dental care and hands-on training, developing the dental leaders of the future.

Founded in 2014 by Simon Turton, PhD, and Nick Lowcock, Gensmile has rocketed to success, now running 76 dental practices, with over £110 million in annual turnover. Gensmile’s unique partnership model keeps each practice’s local character and clinical independence intact, while empowering them with corporate-level financial backing and expert business support.

The new funding will facilitate Gensmile’s ambition to lead the industry in digital dentistry, including investment in AI-driven diagnostic tools and 3D intra-oral scanning technology. These advancements will make dental visits faster, more accurate, and less invasive, improving patient care and outcomes. Additionally, Gensmile’s internal training academy and apprenticeship programmes will provide career paths and professional qualifications for local dental nurses, supporting job creation and community development.

Gensmile remains committed to supporting local communities, keeping neighbourhood dentists thriving and upgrading clinics with the latest equipment. The company doesn’t just fix teeth - it runs oral health workshops and sponsors community events, making a real difference beyond the dental chair. By turning its biggest practices into centres of excellence, Gensmile is creating spaces where dental specialists in everything from root canals to gum health can shine, and where tomorrow’s dentists get hands-on training right in the heart of their communities.

Simon Turton, PhD, CEO & Co-Founder of Gensmile Limited, explains:
“Our partnership approach means local dentists can focus on what matters most - delivering excellent patient care - while benefiting from the latest technology and training. This funding from NatWest will help us create clinical excellence hubs and invest in digital dentistry, ensuring communities across the South West have access to world-class dental services.”

Stuart Allison, Relationship Director at NatWest, commented:
“Gensmile’s commitment to clinical excellence and community benefit aligns with NatWest’s ambition to champion potential and support healthcare innovation. By investing in digital dentistry and local training, Gensmile is helping to build financial confidence and better health outcomes for communities across the South West.”
