  • The new NatWest Home Insurance Tracker allows customers to compare the cost and cover of their current home insurance, regardless of who they are insured with.
  • Research from NatWest and Uinsure found that almost half (48%) of homeowners have not checked whether their home insurance still offers good value in the last 12 months, while a third (33%) say the hassle of switching puts them off reviewing their cover.

Tuesday 28th July 2026 - NatWest today announced an exclusive partnership with insurance technology platform Uinsure to launch a new home insurance proposition designed to make finding, managing and reviewing cover simpler for customers.

The new service enables customers to receive a home insurance quote in under 60 seconds. A panel of leading UK insurers competes on price for the same Defaqto 5 Star Rated cover, both when customers first take out a policy and at each renewal.

The proposition is available to both NatWest customers and non-customers. Existing NatWest customers can access the service through the NatWest app, online, by phone, or in branch. Non-customers can access the service online or by phone.

Alongside the new insurance offering, NatWest has launched the NatWest Home Insurance Tracker, now available through the NatWest app. The Tracker enables customers to upload details of their existing home insurance policy, regardless of provider, and monitor how their cover and price compare over time.

Customers receive reminders when their policy is due for renewal and alerts when better value may be available, helping them stay on top of their insurance without the need to regularly shop around themselves. There is no obligation to switch.

The launch comes as new research commissioned by NatWest and Uinsure among 2,000 UK homeowners highlights the challenge many consumers face in keeping their insurance up to date.

Nearly half (48%) said they had not checked whether their current home insurance still offered good value in the last 12 months, while one in three (33%) identified the hassle of switching as the biggest barrier to reviewing their provider.

The research also found strong appetite for banks to play a greater role in helping customers manage their insurance. Nearly nine in ten respondents (86%) said they would be interested in their bank offering relevant home insurance using data it already holds, while more than two-thirds (68%) said they would trust their bank to offer a fair price.

Toni Powling, Head of Insurance at NatWest, said: "Alongside providing quality cover at a competitive price with a quote in seconds, the Home Insurance Tracker means our customers no longer have to keep checking whether they're getting a fair deal, because we'll do it for them, even if their cover isn't with us. As a bank that supports one in three UK families, we understand the importance of making everyday financial decisions simpler. The Home Insurance Tracker makes insurance genuinely simple to manage."

Lauren Bagley, Chief Distribution Officer at Uinsure, said: "For a bank of NatWest's scale to put Uinsure's technology at the heart of its home insurance offer is a significant moment, for us and for the market. It shows that when the right technology exists, institutions with millions of customers can deliver insurance in a way that genuinely works, with a panel of leading insurers competing at purchase and at every renewal.

"Our insurance tracking technology puts customers in control in a way they haven't had before and directly answers the challenge of switching hassle so many told us about in the research. This partnership is the latest example of us redefining how cover is offered."
