Supporting our colleagues and their families in India

Acknowledging the current COVID-19 situation in India, we’ve made donations to VaccinAid and the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Coronavirus Appeal.

VaccinAid

We’ve donated £260,000 to the global vaccination programme - VaccinAid - helping UNICEF roll out two billion vaccines worldwide, including to India.

  • Colleagues can donate using a dedicated internal Sponsor me page.

DEC Coronavirus Appeal

We’ve donated an additional £100,000 to the DEC Coronavirus Appeal, which has said that 100% of the funds it raises will go to India until further notice.

The DEC Coronavirus Appeal, which was launched in July 2020, has been helping the poorest communities in a number of countries tackle the coronavirus pandemic, and DEC are now expanding their fundraising appeal to be able to help communities in India as they face an overwhelming surge of the virus.

DEC member charities have a long history of working with the most vulnerable communities in India and, together with their local teams and partners, they are playing a critical role in supporting the country's health services, assisting efforts to slow the spread of the virus, and providing further help/assistance to the most vulnerable households. Find out more here

  • Customers can donate directly to the appeal via the DEC website which we will promote on our NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland website homepages.
  • Reward current account and credit card customers can donate their Rewards via MyRewards on their mobile app or online (NatWest; Royal Bank of Scotland).
  • Colleagues can donate using a dedicated internal Sponsor me page.

We're also setting aside funds to support the healthcare infrastructure in the Delhi area and beyond.
